Forrest Keeling Announces 2021 Native Plant Sales & New Program Includes Plants for Housing Communities
April showers bring May flowers and also annual plant native sales to enhance your home! Add their vibrant colors and abundant, nectar-rich blooms for beauty and pollinator benefits. But don’t let their sweet appearance fool you! Forrest Keeling natives will flourish in our summer heat. Choose from vigorous perennials, shrubs and trees for sun or shade and pre-order now. We’ll deliver them to you at your local sale location at no additional charge.
Each plant sale is a pre-order pick-up only event. No day-of sales will be available.
Native gardeners in the St. Louis area count on the annual plant sale at Shaw Nature Reserve. The Shaw Wildflower Pick-Up is one of the largest in the Midwest.
In the Springfield or Kansas City markets? You can beautify your home and also those of homeless in your community. Eden Village in Springfield, and Kansas City’s Veterans Community Project are two projects. that help provide Missouri’s homeless adults a safe place to live and belong. “Forrest Keeling has pledged to donate plant material to these sites, matching purchases,” said Kim Hainsfurther, Forrest Keeling president. “For each tree, shrub or perennial collection purchased, we’ll donate equal product. It’s another way for us to improve our environment, ‘one tree at a time’. We’re excited to help build awareness for both multi-site projects. When St. Louis’ Veterans Community Project begins building, we will add it to our program.”
Forrest Keeling’s donated native plants will be used in landscaping residences, common areas and community centers of the housing projects.
